Hey!
Was a blast! Noise and Dances.
Nora wanted to surprise me with her sudden appearance at the show despite her having cramps. Sweet surprise indeed. Special Thank you to my sweet love for her awesome support!
For a quick review of last night's set. All the bands that played was super tight and awesome. I didn't expect that kind of turnout which is enough for us to break even for the venue with less then $50 profit! First time hearing This Is Atlantis was a pleasant experience. They play post rock in the veins of Japanese Post Rock monster, TOE.
The Rest of the lineups for the night are season local musicians. you can expect nothing but good live performances from them. Tight, tight, tight and good sound control.

AUM is having 2 more shows cum May 10 at FAD studio and May 16 at Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.
Our debut show in Malaysia!

OMG!
I could have been killed by my own speedlight!
Ok, I've been wanting to MOD one of my small flash unit for a long time and finally got about doing it. In the process, I had a small price to pay.
I screwed up on wiring the connections so I pried open again for a second attempt.
It was quite tough to take the flash apart and while I was struggling at it, a sudden loud 'pop' like firecrackers startled me to death! I was quite shocked by it and didn't quite expect anything like that. I emptied the battery compartment before meddling with it.
So, I lost one good flash on this attempt.
I still had another flash unit to continue on this mayhem modifications!
This time, it's a success.

what a relief to be back home..

hectic day.. which is good. I've not been having much to shoot these days and today I had 2 jobs to cover and that's gonna contribute to bills and stuff.

The 2 clients used to be with my ex-boss. Long story .. and to keep it short, I had the better advantage of the situation, now that I'm working on my own.

I like that I'm sharing my work adventures with Nora and I babbled all the way on our phone conversations earlier. It's like first day of school or something. I had so much to share and complain. Thanks for listening B!

We had plans to go for Jason Mraz's concert in Kuala Lumpur but other important priorities crop up so we had to cancel. I don't really mind missing the concert. I was rather hoping more of the 5hours bus ride with her and the short get away. Hopefully there'll be an opportunity next time.

The Missus got confirmations for a teaching position and I'm very happy for her!
(Bebe, I had faith that you'll get in.)
Love every bundle of joy she brings to my life.
We had a good time the other night, ballroom dancing to Lisa Ono's Samba Do Soho.
I've always had the fascination for dancing, be it Ballroom dancing, breakdancing or the traditional zapin but I never got about doing it.
When I was young, in the early 80s Breakdancing was in trend.
I remember joining bystanders as kids older then me twist and turn their body as people crowd around them at the basketball court in Clementi. I would try to imitate them doing headstands and robotic moves. Michael Jackson's moonwalk was also my childhood fascination!

I want to take Salsa lessons with her if given opportunity.
For now, let her catch her dreams first.

The Science Centre trip was an awesome experience!
I especially loved the Omni Theatre show.
Nora and I, saw 'The Alps' which makes me wanna go to Switzerland and view the majestic mountains.
The 360degrees view was 3 dimensional.
Almost felt we're there climbing the icy mountains.
Beautiful.
We are gonna be heading there again soon for another show which is Sea World.
We only paid $8 from the usual $10 to Omni Theatre, cause her father was very kind to give us complimentary admission compliments from workplace.
Thank you Sir!

I'll be involved in Down Stage Left Theatre productions and will be doing Stills.

Last night I was at Expo Wedding Exhibitions. Met a few fellow photographers and friends. 1 booth stands out among the rest and they are Studio Dua Boutique Photography. I like their film/lomo feel to their post productions and the vintage feel. It's either you like it or you don't. The kind your folks won't likely be able to understand for a wedding shot. kudos to you guys for being unique!

It's been 2 weeks past the new year.

Last night I had a jamming session with AUM and as usual i would lug my guitar and paddle case in my car.
I got home around midnight and normally it's hard to get a parking space near my block and the only available lot is near the woodlands stadium. so I figured i'd park beside the handicap lot that says no parking and carry my equipments up and come back later to park my car.
I went up and was feeling exhausted by then. I called up Nora, talked for abit and then continued over msn, and guess Wat? I totally forgot about my illegal parking! Now it's 1:43pm and my mom came to my room to tell me that my dad got scolding from the elderly (there's a elder care under my blk) when he tried to move my car in the morning! And i totally forgot about it until my mom mentioned!
fuck, i feel so bad.
first i inconvenient the elders coming out from their transport van. then i got my dad into shit he didn't' do and was trying to help me.
I tried calling my dad's cellphone but it's off. gonna try again later and apologize to him.

What a bummer.

Nora, you're worth more then the phone bills from the Indonesian trip and I love you more then what money's worth. Don't worry about it, I'll settle them promptly. Thank you for loving me so dearly. :)

I have to start packing tomorrow even though, I don't really know where to start.
Hopefully this trip will be a good one. I am full of hopes and expecting to see Jogja and Bandung especially and rocking, sweating it out on stage for the kids there!
10 days in Indonesia. Firstly, I'm gonna miss her. I'll miss her fun laughters, smile, kitty cat look and handshakes gestures. I have a souvenir from her that I'm gonna bring for my trip! yay!

Tomorrow I'm doing cam assist for my cousin's production company. I think it's a music video shoot or something like that. whatever. hehe. well, that's it.

I'm back to the days of freelancing and hopefully to be my own boss. For some reason I am glad and hopefully I will have more time to do creative works like before. Back in the days when I'm more active in Deviantart and hanging out a lot with Sharil and Hendra, we were much more of a photo enthusiast then now. Life keep changing past us ever quickly. Work. Family. Or even studies. There are things of common interest that can keep us together. One of which would be Music and Art.

Hujan di pagi Adha

It feels like any other day except it's Eidul Adha. I was still on my bed when my mother woke me up for morning prayers. I did not budge and carried on sleeping while it rained outside. The weather was cold unlike few days before. Lucky enough it didn't rain yesterday or else the picnic won't happen.

I dreamt I was on a man-made wooden raft sailing the white water (dunno where) with Nora. She was smiles as we sailed aimlessly. I couldn't remember what happened after that.

My Grandma stayed over my house for this Raya. Mainly because my Aunt had to stay in hospital for her stomach operations and my Uncle is celebrating Raya with his wife who lives in Batam.

We had breakfast at Mac. We sat behind this guy who was watching Sesame Street on his Laptop. Nora wants her picture taken with him. hehe.. this is the closest we can get.

Dear blog.

I've been neglecting you for 3 years and I'm sorry.
So much happened in the past years and I don't know where to begin.
My life has been a mix of happiness and sadness but it all comes down to a beautiful life.
I'm still playing with bands and currently active with A.U.M (amaran untuk mu).
This 19 - 28 Dec we're touring Indonesia and I'm pretty much psyched up for this trip.
The days are drawing near and 2009 is coming close too.

I met a wonderful girl and she's an amazing actress.
We spend time together and enjoying every bit of the moment.
Nothing lasts or at least we never know how long things will be.
But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for something good to happen.
In the meantime, enjoy the moments and breathe..
She's my addiction.

It's Singapore's National Day. I work shifts therefore i don't get to enjoy holidays like most people here. whatever it is that it means to all of you, i'm thankful to be born in a country that isn't in conflicts with any wars whatsoever. we're all blessed with peace but let us not forget the victims from wars in Iraq and Palestine..

after world war II, singapore and malaysia merged to gain independence from great britain in 1963. the merger, however, proved uncooperative. for demographic, political, and economic reasons, malaysia effectively cut singapore’s membership from the malaysian federation on august 9, 1965. this historic date marks singapore’s independence.

there you go.. another year passes by and now the nation celebrates its 40th year of independence. it's just another year passing by for me. freedom..? the air that i breathe is the only thing thats free! have we really becomed independent or are we more being dependent then ever before? how tolerant are we towards our cultural differences or are we merely ignorant from this foreignity that seperates ethnicity. we are one big multi racial community that needs more than just tolerance, but also acknowledgement of our right to practice our beliefs. for now, i believe this rights are at times violated or taken away because of its affect to the surroundings. will this injustice be waived? i have not an answer to those. but i hope these are not the things that pride ourselves of our independence to our freedom. even if this concerns the minority and if it does, i'd rather pride myself as the minority who will defy.

hi, i shut down this vlog once and i'll definitely do it again if i have to. i have no video for now cause i havent been filming. it sucks to know that you're not good at talking infront of the camera. shucks!! i have been busy practising photography and finding photography techniques as well as editing. i had much help from some newfound friend hendra aka obsoletetheory. he's currently slaving his life away for this nation in the police force. he's very talented in photography, so do pay him a visit. ok, i hope to be posting some stuff by the end of this week, or at least befor my re-union secondary school chalet. yes, i organised a chalet for my ex-schmates with my girlfriend before we broke up again, for the 2nd time. no regrets, we're gonna be friends. well, not the best of friends like the wans, ratno or my band mates, but at least we're not enemies from the bad relationship. yeah, i'm sick of relationships. i'm getting married with my 300D.. haha! so you guys will be invited! just kidding. for you guys who does not have a clue what 300D is? go do your search on the internet. so, it's sunday afternoon and i'm supposed to be heading to East coast this morning, but we cancelled it. and now, i'm stuck doing nothing better then blogging and surfing deviantart.com. catch some light later with my photography buddies later, hopefully. if not i'll just sit here and do nothing. got eat now! so Salam Alaik!
